The mission of the Farmington Hills Community Library is to facilitate independent learning and encourage the love of reading from early childhood on. They asked Visual Entities to help them support this goal with creative wayfinding and identification signage designed to enhance the space dedicated to hands-on learning and reading for children.

The Children’s Level, encompassing the entire lower floor of the library, needed signage that would engage the attention of a young person and entice them over to the interactive play areas equipped with reading activities. Visual Entities worked with the geometric and playful shapes, bright colors, and youthful lettering that currently existed on the floors and walls of the space. The custom-shaped wall-mounted signs were made out of a Sintra core with digital prints mounted to it. This system provided both a cost-effective and an easy-to-update solution.
